    Free healthcare: Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (SECMC) set up a 3-day medical camp at Thar Block II

    Karachi / Thar, March 17 2014: To address the medical emergency in the drought hit areas of Thar, Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (SECMC) launched a timely medical relief program and set up a 3-day free medical camp at its site office in Thar Block II.

    SECMC arranged for physicians and gynecologist from Hyderabad and on-boarded para-medical staff to provide consultation and free-of-cost medicines to approximately 1,000 patients suffering from various diseases.

    Apart from the medical assistance, the company also distributed 1,330 meal packs among the visiting patients and attendants. SECMC is the only company to set-up a medical camp inside the villages instead of towns.
